Two days on and we'll be in a new year! Any resolutions out there? C'mon, tell me...
We will be spending New Year's Eve at my sister's house. Most likely yummy food, lasagna actually, and games will dominate the time. I hope I can stay awake to watch the ball drop! The crowd at times square may be small this year as it looks like a rainy or snowy forecast! I know one thing for sure, I Will NOT be there! I abhor the cold; hate snow even more! I need to go live on a tropical island in the South China sea. Oh wait! That's just 5 years away!!
7:00 am, time for breakfast......

Here it comes!
For those of you who wish to follow, I will be posting periodic snapshots of our foreclosure proceeding. We are going to court, in January, for an 'informational' session. Here the lawyers representing the bank will inform us of the banks intentions, and require us to answer questions concerning our financial status. Do you think it would be enough to merely state that we have yet to win the lottery?
I have asked the bank to be benevolent enough to realize the position we are in and 'gift' us with the deed to the property. After all, the government bailed THEM out to the tune of billions, so what's a paltry 200,000.00 to them? Apparently they found no logic nor humor in my reasoning!
We shall press on...

Another year gone?
Wow, 2010 has flown by! Well, once again I will resolve to post much more often! As you can see, it's only been 5 months since my last post! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I am enjoying a cup of freshly brewed Indonesian coffee! Yummmmm! Later today we will join close friends for an open house! Food, music, general merriment, and Christ filled conversation are sure to ensue! We had a great Christmas Eve! Plenty of food, and games! It's wonderful to have family and friends close at hand!
Tune in later!!

Oh My!
Has it really been so long since I have posted? There is much to discuss! In May I met my brother for the first time! Tina and I drove to Ohio for a vacation, and swung by Niagara Falls on the way home. She has been wanting to go there since she came to America. Anyway, my brother and his wife, Mike and Julie, are great, of course; family genes you know! we had a wonderful 4 days and got lots of pics!
Nothing much following the trip. Back to work and life's daily grind. I will be going for surgery, in late September or early October, to have my colon removed, thus freeing me from 27 years of Crohn's Disease! I can not wait! First thing I want to do is ride the city bus from one end to the other, no stops!! Other desires on my list include walking the mall, walking the beach, walking the neighborhood! Maybe I will even sit in the park for awhile!! Freedom...
See you soon!

Another span has passed!
Well, so much for keeping up with my blog; and my New Year's resolution! As you may have guessed by now, Tina is home safely, and I am happy to have her back here! We are leaving next week on a road trip to Ohio to see my brother! OK, half-brother, but family still! We're pretty excited about it, as is he and his wife! It'll take 17 hours to get there, but we'll take two bites and arrive on Friday afternoon. For those of you who pray, please do for our travels to and fro.
The jam sessions at the Cockpit Cafe in the Sanford Airport are going great! I haven't missed on since last July, when it all started. If you have a chance to come down and play, or just listen, please join us on April 30, and again on May 14, at 7:00pm. We go for two hours, and there are refreshments available at no cost.
OK, I hope to post again when we return form Ohio, so I can bore you all with the details!
See ya!

At Last!
This is it! Today's the day! Tina is finally going to be home today!! Man, it's been a long 9 weeks! I've got the rest of the week off too! If I had a tail it would be waggin'! Remember the cartoons of Snoopy with his head up, arms out, and feet dancin' all over the place? Yup, that's me!
Looks like we finally sold our house! It's been on the market for 11 months today. Naturally we are not getting what we owe on it, so I don't know how that will play out, but at least the bulk of it will be gone! For those of you who pray, please do so in our interest. We appreciate it! I am seeing the realtor today to update some financial statements, then we should be closing by the end of April!
Did I mention Tina will be home today?

The time draws near!
Oh my word! Has it really been nearly a month since my last post? I'm slipping!
Well, let's catch up! Tina will be home in 6 days, and I am more than ready to have her back! She is also ready to return home, but is haveing a hrad time realizing she won't see our grand-daughter, or her children, for almost another year. I know how hard that must be.
New on the home front, I have discovered geo-caching! What fun this is. Adam and I set out last week to find a dozen caches. We found two! OK, so I need to hone my skills, but I know Tina is going to enjoy this as much as I do! There is nothing like finding a cache to cement your commitment to the 'sport'.
Re-connected with some old friends last night. I had dinner with Steve and Sharon Kerner. It was really great to talk with them again, it had been a while. Actually, it has been a while for many friends since I started going to school 3 years ago. Due to a change in the program at the mortuary school, and a change in my employers rules, completing my degree will take me a couple years longer! Onward!
